The score really fell flat for me. I get what they were going for with it but I didn't really like it at all. It is the only thing keeping this movie from being basically perfect for me.
Anybody on here who is a big fan of the score and why?

I agree with you, I really disliked the score, so much so I had to turn down the volume in parts. I don't remember having to ever do that before!

shareI always hated that just because they had the same composer some considered that both Chinatown and LA Confidential are classic film scores.
The difference in quality/excellence is colossal-the former is a top 10 all-time great score while the latter is not a top 100 film score.
