i just saw this movie at school and what was with that guy speaking jibberish? it was literaly scaring me...i thought it was disturbing.

shareYou are correct! I am a monk, ordained by H.H. the Dalai Lama back in 1995. The Oracle (like in The Matrix) is a medium/shaman, who is summoned by the Dalai Lama as a request for a "Mo".......a prediction/advice given to a certain question that is asked. In this case in the movie, the question was, what was the best date and time to make his escape from Tibet to India. The Oracle then goes into a deep trance and starts "speaking in tongues", and delivers the answer onto the paper. The tradition of the Oracle still exists today, with the Tibetans in exhile in Dharamsala, India where the Dalai Lama lives. He is 49 years old.
