I do remember going to a Hollywood Video store to rent some movies and seeing a sign where the film would have been and them saying that they would not stock it because of "sensitive issues in the area", or something like that.
The crazy thing is I remember something similar, only I'm not sure the ban was in place in the Hampton Roads area, so it could have been for another film or that you had to ask for it. But I definitely remember hearing they had banned KTG elsewhere in VA.
It was also sort of neat to see some of the other news from those times. I read through one of the papers almost entirely. I didn't know that they had sites like that online where you could read past issues of newspapers. I guess you learn something new every day. Thanks again.
No problem. I discovered Google books a few years back, I was also shocked to find out there was a place online to view complete magazines, books, newspapers etc. I find myself doing the exact same thing as you and reading more than intended. It's also very useful especially for providing different perspectives and looking at old ads, jogs the memory. It can be a bit addictive. Some of the magazines have every edition and go back to the 50s and even before that. Glad you found the links helpful.
