What is the connection between strong women and love. What about his life, drove him to this?

That is one of the problems with this movie, they do not delve into why Cary Elwes character was doing this. Plus it seems many of these movies nowadays make the cop the bad guy. It's becoming quite predictable.

It's always a mom thing or a "girls treat me badly" thing.

Women have daddy issues and they go into porn. Men have mommy issues and they kidnap and murder. women hurt themselves, men hurt others.
