I saw this film at the Kendall Cinema in Cambridge Mass., in the summer of '97. I liked it so much, I saw it again. But at the time, I kept thinking that Frankie had to really dumb to mistake the initials, "GWM" to mean, "Guy With Money!" What are the thoughts of others on here?

Isn't that the stereotype of a guido though? You wouldn't expect him to be intelligent or worldly enough to understand even standard abbreviations in the personals.

the movie was made by a bunch of guidos! i don't think they implied it was stupid, just naive, like any straight guy who'd never been to Chelsea or the Village

Lol, then again guidos love making fun of the stereotype. It actually proves they aren't as dumb as everyone thinks ;)
