I read the book a couple of years ago and can't remember a couple of things. Is this the book where he feeds his grandma jello with something in it? And also I remember something about burning the house down, but what happens at the end of the book?

I don't remember anything about jello, but the burning house scene was when Mark came over to Susan's house when he found out she was going to tell the police what happened (or something like that), and so he decided the best thing to do was to kill her, and he tried to do it by burning the house down. He didn't succeed, but there you go.

That's correct, they put tranquilizers in the green jello so she would fall asleep and he could sneak out with them...then later she asks him what happened on the game show they were watching and he makes up an answer, and Grandma eventually figures out that he wasn't there, which is why Mark kills her. It's been about 15 years since I read the book, but I re-read it so many times I remember it very clearly lol.

shareAnd with the burning down the house, Mark tied Susan up and tried to burn the house with her in it because he didn't want her to tell ( and he was a Psychopath), but Mrs. Griffin and someone else showed up before it totally went up in flames and she was saved.
