is the movie based on something that happened in real life???

no, i think its based on the book "Killing Mr. Griffin" by Lois Duncan.

no offense jumbled but, it is based on the book by Lois Duncan with the same name. I'd recommend every thriller fan to read it.

Apparently, yes. It happened in the school the book took place in in ABQ, NM. At least that's the rumour that's been circulating for decades.

As far as I know it is only a book ... but thats interesting u say that b/c it was actually filmed in California at Calabasas High School (I was a Junior at the school graduate of the class of 1998) and any junior or senior could participate and be a extra on one weekend .... I had no idea that it was supposed to take place in ABQ, NM but that is super interesting I will have to check that out.
