Rotterdam......

Finally, a film which does not play in amsterdam. Almost every movie shot in the Netherlands is shot in amsterdam. But not anymore, Rotterdam kicks ass.

The settings for this movie were great, very realistic. It only is a shame that we haven't seen Mike van Diem do any more great projects such as this.

That is a shame indeed. Hopefully he´ll start doing something new in the near future, I´m waiting for that for ages.
(His cameo in De Boekverfilming was hilarious, by the way).

Marco.

Sincerely yours,
the Breakfast Club.

I agree. The settings were outstanding, especially his father's apartment building(s, the law office, and the street scenes.

"You're under arrest."

"...And you're trespassing."

this is my favorite movie and one of the greats of all time....i am very much looking forward to any other feature length offering he makes. it is the most inspiring movie i've ever seen.

The problem of course is, they had to film it everywhere, except in Rotterdam,
where it formally plays.

Rotterdam downtown has been bombed in WWII and it is full with modern buildings and skyscrapers.
