i'm taking a stand.

this was a good movie! people always talk bad about it, but i loved it as a kid, and maybe it is just my fond childhood memories, but i still love it today. tim allen and martin short make a great comedy team, and it is just a good, wholesome family film that is enjoyable for people of all ages. there's my two cents. gracias.

I'm watching it right now and I'm 21. It's cute. People need to just relax. This was way better than some of the stuff that came out when I was a kid. I love this movie and probably always will. To each their own, but some people try to insult it like they are superior because they're criticing a family movie. Trust me, there are way worse ones!

I am 19, and i just got it from Netflix, and i have loved this movie since a kid. Its the perfect movie to watch with ur family, or by yourself even.

i heartily agree with you, man. I just saw it today (im a teenager) and boy did it bring back memories. This movie came out at the peak of family films. The 90s were so great at this. This film is a warm and heart-full film with great intentions. Oh boy, the nostalgia really hits me sometimes. The 2000s suck. The 90s and were such a peaceful and joyful time (ok maybe not completely peaceful, but for the most part, they were way more happy than the post 9/11 2000s.)

I mean, now if someone watches the film, its "too racist! too sexist! too happy!" God, this is a great movie to watch as a kid or with your family. It was a time of peace and laid-back life. Look back on this movie and remember the 90s man. The days where nothing really mattered to us as kids.

Yeah I used to love this movie as a kid, and it was great watching it today.

I'd much rather watch this than some of the pathetic CGI filled kids movies that come out today.

I watched it today for the first time and i must say i thought it was rather good :)

I don't understand what's so "bad" about it. It's a bit cheesy but it's meant for younger kids. Maybe it's just because I've known it from a younger age, but I happen to like it.

I'm 100% with you, man! I loved this movie as a teenager growing up and still love it! It had fun characters, a heart-warming story, good music, and you didn't feel dirty after watching it--like the way a lot of today's movies make you feel. I remember watching this with my family and all of us having a great time. Tim Allen and Martin Short also had great chemistry in this movie--they played off of each other rather brilliantly!

I also loved the ending to this movie. The way they defeated the mob boss seemed to have a certain level of believability because instead of Tim Allen and Martin Short trying to fist fight the guys, the mob guy's fear of spiders is what really saved them.

I can't say enough good things about this movie. Anytime I watch it, I remember how much simplier things seemed as a teenager and how much more happy life was.

I agree, this is an entertaining movie about a father and son from two different worlds getting to know each other. Sure it may be a bit unrealistic but its in all good fun, just like most of Tim or Martin's family movies.
