Was this movie suppose to come out in 92?

Awhile ago I was speaking to my friend about this movie and he was telling me how he remembered seeing a commercial for it a few years before the movie actually came out. I didn't believe him and I just assumed that he was thinking about a different movie.

Well, I was watching Nick Arcade on Nick GaS, and basically I heard them advertise Jungle 2 Jungle starring Tim Allen(exactly what the announcer said). This wasn't during a commercial break, this was during the actual show. Nick Arcade was filmed in 92/93, 4-5 years before Jungle 2 Jungle came out.

So does anyone know if this movie was filmed years before it was released? Theres nothing in the trivia area and I didn't see anything on Wikipedia.

FINALLY!!! someone else thinks this too!

I SWEAR I rememeber seeing a preview for it a looooooooong time before it actually came out. I remember seeing the previews the time it was actually releases thinking...is this a sequal? It has 2 in it...

I swear you're right.
Glad to know I'm not the only one!

Weird, wonder why they didn't release it...maybe they couldn't find a distributor or something.

You're thinking of the French version, "Little Indian, Big City." It came out a little earlier in the US and was being advertised before they decided to remake it with an American cast. Tim Allen overshadowed all the no-name French actors in the other film and it was lost.

I thought they were the same movie with different titles until I saw the trailor again on a really old VHS I have.

i doubt it was filmed in 92, that would have made sam huntington only 10 years old when he made the film and he doesnt look anywhere near 10 in th movie

reply

And Frankie J. Galasso (who plays Andrew) would have been 7 if it was made in '92.

No-name French actors? You may not know them but they are quite popular in the French-speaking world. United-States are not at the center of the universe you know?

French-speaking world
yea all of uhhhh... FRANCE

Maybe Nickelodeon added in a mention of J2J in 1997 for a rerun of Nick Arcade, and currently use that copy of the episode in the reruns on Nick Gas.

We got movie sign!

I effing love nick arcade. Anyways, I KNOW I saw this movie in theaters twice with a few years in between. I don't think it was as early as 92 but something fishy is going on.

faelou89 is right, he certianly did not look 10 in the movie! mimi siku!

he looked at LEAST 14!

As someone else already mentioned, this movie is an almost exact remake of a 1994 movie called "Little Indian, Big City." That's probably where the confusion comes from.

reply

Probably not, why would they mention Tim Allen's name?

reply

Martin Short sure looks older if this was made in 1992.

It's that man again!!
