Did anyone else find James' sexual orientation pretty ambiguous?

I didn't thing it was ambiguous. I thought it was pretty clear he was gay. lol!! I think he is gay in real life? He usually plays gay roles.

From Wilson Cruz's IMDb bio:

"Filmed a Public Service Announcement to raise awareness for the issue of homelessness among gay teens in which he revealed that he was kicked out of his house as a teen when he told his family that he was gay."

So yeah. And I really loved the way this movie danced around the character's sexuality without making it a hard fact.

More like obvious to me from the very first scene where the bully at school was taunting him, "Come save your boyfriend, come save your boyfriend...ect."

Not to mention every other scene in which he was very much a girly, girly boy.

So yeah. It was just you.

Hard to deem it ambiguous, what with the nude pool scene showing him very jealous over the fact that Maguire's character wants to spend time with someone of the opposite sex.

Honestly I don't know why they even bothered with that small bit of examination toward his character anyway - it seemed like his sole purpose in the film was to lose his cool and play the role of frazzled female without actually being female.

It was fairly obvious he was gay although it was never said, most things don't have to be said in movies though so I liked that they didn't go to deep into it

I however couldn't keep away thinking how much he resembled rapper Drake lol
