Since it's possible all of QT films take place in the same universe could De Niro's character be the guy who "robbed a bank with a telephone?" According to the timeline he would have robbed the bank just before the events of Pulp Fiction

Jackie Brown = '95
De Niro did 4 years for the botched bank robbery= '91. By the indication he was quite good at the criminal stuff it's possible he pulled the telephone trick in '90 ? to the point he became a legend so by '94 even Pumpkin had heard about it.
