Yeah he fucking kicked ass in this movie. I liked it even a little bit more than his Pulp Fiction performance and that one was a classic!!

SPOILERS I love his whole "thing" in the car with DeNiro as he learns that DeNiro has killed Fonda ("What? You couldn't have just hit her?"), slowly figures out that Jackie Brown has "taken them"(that great long shot of his head in silent profile as he THINKS...a true human endeavor) and then turns on DeNiro for being so stupid as to have fallen for the ruse(he saw Max Cherry there)..."Pull over...you used to be beautiful man..." BANG. BANG.

Also great...Jackson hosted SNL when Jackie Brown came out and played Ordell getting verbally smacked around in the courtroom by Cheri Oteri's "Judge Judy" who sneers: "What's that thing you are wearing on your chin? A RAT TAIL?"

In my opinion his best performance, he acted with his eyes. He had two preformances in his movie actually. One was the classic Samuel Jackson preformances, a loud mouth who is a smooth talker. But at the same time you see in his eyes the subtle performance. A criminal who will kill to get what he wants, a calculated cold Mastermind. A lot of people don't get that. Samuel Jackson is an underrated actor.
