No empathy for Jackie
Her past life background wasn't explained. Just because you are a 40+ black woman who lives alone and works as a air stewardess, doesn't justify her intentions of running off with ill earned money.
The movie's main themes have to do with middle age and what that means to people who maybe haven't had the perfect life. We know Jackie is dissatisfied, broke, in a job she hates, and trying to drum up extra cash working for Ordell. What else do you need to know?
