Why was Nicolette not more suspicious? **SPOILERS**

So Jackie calls him up to tell him where he can find Ordell. Now, it's no surprise how it went down. But afterwards, Nicolette would ask the obvious question, "Why would Ordell be so interested in meeting you here?"

Is there an obvious answer I'm missing? An answer which wouldn't cause the ATF to know that Jackie Brown has the money?

reply

I think Jackie emotionally manipulated him a bit by thanking him for saving her life. This may have deflected him from the obvious question. Some of the police work in the film was rather slipshod. I think they under-estimated Jackie and over-estimated Ordell.

Nicolette was only after Ordell so after he was shot.. case closed.

Maybe he suspected Jackie but didn't care enough to continue any investigations. That's my take

^Agreed.

From the best I remember he told her they didn't really need her anymore after the botched money deal, she proved her way out of it. It flipped onto him as they had him on 3 murders and the gun ring, it woulda been enough to take him down for life pretty much she was small change. However once he was dead Jackie didn't really mean anything anymore.

Sure they coulda charged her and the crack girl but there woulda been no real reason too as they were just low ends on a scale.

I agree, Jackie was just a means to an end to get Ordell. He probably stopped caring after he got him.
