When that happened I laughed my ass off but then my brother said I was a psycho for laughing. That is true, but not because I hate Jack Black, but because it was just so sudden. Anyway, anybody else find it amusing?

shareWhen he said, after "missing" the pack of cigarettes and hitting his arm (one wonders if he really "missed" at all), "I told you it [the targeting system] was off", I found that funny, in the twisted, dark, gen-x-humor sort of way that I have. Not that I'd do such a thing myself, or not be horrified if I'd actually witnessed something like that in real life. Which is one of those differences between "just a movie" and "real life".... I don't think indulging a darker side of humor makes you a psycho or anything--else we're a nation of psychos (some probably think this too), with how popular Tarantino flicks are.

Thank god for that, I thought I was the only Pshcho who thought this was funny. I showed it to a mate and he was sickened I found it funny :-) It was the "hold out the pack of cigarettes" line that got me. Reminded me of shooting air rifles with my mate in the back garden as a kid, only I wish I had that "mofo protoype cannon" to ping a few coke cans

He would have been weakened by the rapid loss of blood, and very likely in shock (which in part means you're not going to be thinking straight--your mind sort of shuts down to block the extreme pain and trauma of losing a limb). I suppose in that state you could be very open to someone's suggestions--even the very someone who just blew your arm off.
