Bruce Willis and Richard Gere vowed to never work together again?

In the trivia sections it says:
"After the filming of this movie, Bruce Willis and Richard Gere reportedly vowed to never work with each other again."

Why?
Does anyone have some info about this?

Really? That's weird. They only shared one scene (the subway sequence) at least two if you count the scene of the boats where Willis shot Gere from a Long distance...

That is weird. Gere and Stallone supposedly hate each other. Stallone is said to have started the rumor about Gere and gerbils. LOL!

Somewhere along the line Gere turned into "Saint Richard", and became a serious do-gooder. Nothing wrong with that, except that he became preachy and boring. I preferred the dangerous, exciting Gere from "Goodbar", "Gigolo", "No Mercy" and "Breathless".

We got a job.
What kind?
...The Forever Kind.

Watch Gere along with Edward Norton and his debut in "PRIMAL FEAR"

Funny how Hollywood is just like high school.
