Do you think someone watched the 39 Steps before penning this?

Remember Alfred Hitchcock great 1935 adventure with Robert Donat tied to Madeleine Carroll escaping through the English countryside? Jason Patric gave a pretty good take on the Donat part as well as Irène Jacob took on the Madeleine Caroll with equal romance and beauty. These two blend tastefully, the French with the American and I really enjoyed the light spirit they injected into the Hitchccock process of being clandestinely yet humorously acted out.
