Dewey defamation
Does it matter to anyone that the historic character of Thomas Dewey is libeled in this movie, asserting that he was corrupted by gangsters? In truth, of course, Dewey risked his life as a racket-busting prosecutor in the NYC of the 1930s, and while it is true that he parlayed that reputation into the governorship of NY, and subsequently two runs for the presidency, there is no evidence whatsoever that he was ever bribed by anyone anywhere under any circumstances. This is a shameful and sleazy act by the makers of 'Hoodlum' to sensationalize their plot and posthumously defame a distinguished public servant.
