Was Malcom's brother behind the assination of his brother.
The guy that shot malcom was working for danny (bon jovi) or gianni (ted danson)
Overall, what was the plot behind the whole film.
I'm terrible when it comes to understanding storylines in films.
What I gathered was that Danny and nearly everybody else was behind the assasination because Malcolm was wanting to bring in the organized crime (in the form of Ted Danson) so that he could branch out to have fields in Hawaii. But no one else wanted organized crime involved, so...
Jamie Lee Curtis's character says something like this in the few minutes she's on screen, or atleast alludes to it.
As far as Malcolm's brother goes, I think he more or less went along with the idea because of the implications if he didn't.

Thanks for the info, but did Gianni (ted danson) know that malcom was killed? and why didn't Danny and other drug lords tell thornton that they knew malcom was already dead?

Not sure about Gianni knowing if Malcolm was killed, but Danny and the other drug lords didn't let on that they Malcolm was already killed because how would they explain that they knew without implicating themselves?
