Xena VS Hercules Which one was which?

I was hard pressed to tell which one was which through most of the movie. Xena changes colour fron white to blue to grey to yellow depending on the scene and she's so ugly it's hard to tell if she is a man or Hercules in drag!! Most of the Disney witches were better looking gals!!
