It's an adventure based on Greek mythology; it's a rock & roll/soul/gospel musical; it's a sports movie about an underdog and his old curmudgeonly trainer; it's a rom-com in a Classic Hollywood style (i.e. with a naive male lead and a sardonic female lead with a deep voice); it's a satire about celebrities with modern (for 1997) pop culture references.
