Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer

Every time I see these two in a scene together, I keep seeing them as Lionel and Jean in a AS Time Goes By dream sequence one of them is having, LOL. I wonder how hard it was for those two to keep a straight face during filming during some of the scenes. LOL

it is a pity they made frederick ponsonby so gloomy in this film, he actually had a very good sense of humour and frequently made the Queen laugh, they could have had some amusing exchanges not unlike Lionel and jean.
