Netflix version

I got the DVD for this movie from Netflix, and it was in Mono. The DVD had stamped on it DTS, and dolby surround 2.0 and all of that, but the sound was mono. This has happened to me twice from that company.

Can't they get in trouble with that from the producers?

I called Netflix and complained now twice. The first time they changed the listings for the movie to be marked Dolby Digital Mono...LOL They haven't changed the listings for this movie yet. So it is still marked incorrectly.

I'm sure the real DVD for this movie is in DTS like it says in the credits. Netflix seems to have their own deal for making DVDs.

I lied... It could be in Dolby Pro-logic. I found out my DVD-player, at least the way it is hooked up now... will not play in stereo if the DVD is not in Dolby 5.1 mode. This DVD appears to be in Dolby Surround 2.0.

Nahhhh....no lie there. For it to be a lie, you had to be intentionally saying something that wasn't true. You just made a mistake.

Just rented it from Netflix myself. 2.0 Dolby Surround, as far as I can tell, but this is a now very old DVD. Issued in 1999, before DVD transfers became anamorphic for 16X9 displays, making this DVD not much better than a laserdisc (remember them?). Needs remastering badly. Image very dark.

The video is also non-anamorphic! Had to stretch my screen to make it fit!

I got this off Netflix, just watched it last night. I can't tell the difference between mono and stereo, I must be sound deaf.
