Did I just get that right: 'On yer bike.'?

I watched this film a while ago, and found it to be quite enjoyable.
I have a somewhat unusual question especially for any Australian reader of this board, re: Idioms.
In one scene, there are two policemen sitting in a car near the house of the "bank robbers" (Mahood and family). Someone comes out of the door, and one copper elbows the other and says "On yer bike." Hmm. Isn't that the equivalent to saying "Get lost" --at least that's what I learnt (English as a foreign language, here). It was quite funny, and I actually would like to use it in appropriate situations, but am not sure if it isn't some obscure Aussie-cism that anyone north of 11° South would be getting totally wrong and tell me to get on *my* bike, hehe.

You are correct. To tell someone to 'get on yer bike' is the equivalent of saying 'get lost' or 'piss off'.
