Sci-Fi Channel...

I remember seeing this movie on the Sci-Fi Channel when I was young, back when they had Saturday Anime and Mission Genesis. Ah, life was good...Seeing a dusty vhs or dvd copy of this movie in a thrift store one afternoon would pretty much make my life complete.

Does anyone else remember another cheesy tv movie like this one on Sci-Fi from around the same time, set in the near future and some guy had like a lime green car and all the shots of the highway showed the cars going really fast, like blurs? Um that's pretty much all I remember about it but it would be cool to know the name of it.

I never suggest any of those titles for Anime newbies. I suggest ANYTHING done by Mizayki as an intro to anime. Elfen Lied for anyone who can handle strong gore and nudity becasue the story line is so good.

THEN, graduate to more diverse anime. Anime can be weird to the point of off putting for the newbie. A gradual immersion like I outlined it best undertaken. It is how I did it. I routinely rejected most titles until I worked my way thru Elfen Lied and Mizayki.

I am just finishing a classic early Anime by Mizayki called Future Boy Conan. Great imagery and pretty good story. Great characters. Great art! Recommended. Watch in hi def.

Miyazaki's anime's are excellent, but unless a person
is severely inhibited about fantasy, almost all of the
ones I recommended are very easy to get into also, and
they all have English-dubbed versions and have been
shown on American TV.

Incidentally, _Habitat_ is available in Youtube

but who knows for how long. From amazon, seems
like it's out of print.

It's also available by file-sharing.
