Did Anyone Else Utterly Detest the Song at the Beginning?

In many ways the film was great but that fkn song about the cockerel at the start was the most wretched, pathetic, grating piece of fkn drek I have ever heard and totally undermined the impact of everything that followed.

Just my opinion, obviously.

I feel like it represented the movie quite well actually.

Yeah, exactly. In fact, if the film had opened with anything other that whimsical little number, I would've been disappointed. In the context of the scene, the song fits really well, but on its own the song is obviously a mess.

So it seems. And believe me, I'm not knocking the film at all. I cannot explain why but the song just riled me massively.

It was very annoying and gave me toothache but it did fit very well with the movie.

I like to think I'm always right :-) 

Actually the opening song is the one being sung by the kids in the first scene of the movie.
