Is the kissing in the rainy pool the reward for finding Foot-Foot?

I don't even remember if I read this somewhere or if I thought of it myself, but does anyone else think the Bunny-Boy is somehow 'hired' by the girls to find the missing Foot-Foot? In one of the last scenes in the movie we see him coming towards the camera across the field and holding up a cat corpse that could well be Foot-Foot and right after that he is kissing and swimming in the rain with the girls, so that could be his reward. Or is that too linear, causal or cheap of me to think so?
