Drawfs????

I counted one dwarf, and at least five normal sized people who apparently were thieves of some sort.. One was taller than "Snow White," and he was nice to her. one was a real jerk to her, and got kicked out. Like all thieves, they don't much like strangers dropping in, so they got a bit upset to find the young lady in their place of business.

This wasn't supposed to be your traditional Snow White tale. After all, in the classic Disney version, the evil queen is not married to Snow White's father, she doesn't have a mute brother, and she certainly doesn't lose a baby through a miscarriage.

Seven happy dwarfs singing hi-ho would not have fit in with the dark grim tone of this movie.

No. This is the tale as a horror film and there's only one dwarf in the group of bandits.
