didn't see the end

I had to leave during the movie and I didn't see the end!
I left when the police recovered the motorcycle after Patricia Arquette killed her husband and MLP! Can anybody explain what happened next?
Thx in advance...

3 years too late, but:
Sgt. Rita & Rollins inform Sandra. They leave, but Rita comes back to Sandra's place. Tells her she's on to her, and that either she splits the money with her or goes to jail. Sandra's not happy, but of course agrees. On her way out of the building Rita bumps onto Vincent Gallo (remembers him from police photos from the serial killer crime sites) runs back to Sandra's apartment and saves her.
Cut to one year later. They are rich, shopping and bump into Rollins. Since he's a dope he doesn't suspect anything - turns to the camera and says: "I just love it when good things happen to good people. I mean that. Really."
I loved the ending.

"Flash, Flash, I love you, but we only have fourteen hours to save the Earth!"

The film premiered at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival, before being released theatrically in 1999. Reshoot of the film was shot on Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills, and the ending of the film was changed. The original version had Sandra (Patricia Arquette) stabbing Sgt. Rita Pompano (Ellen DeGeneres) in the back with a deadly hypo needle after Sgt. Pompano shot and killed Sandra's attacker in the Rodeo Drive penthouse. But audiences at the film festival really disliked killing beloved Ellen DeGeneres, so the ending was reshot thanks to a rewrite from Buck Henry, a close buddy of Ms. DeGeneres. Sandra and Ellen split the insurance money, and last seen driving up Rodeo Drive with 2 Vuitton suitcases full of money.
