How much actual Gingerbread is in this movie and why is it named this?

thanks

There's two gingerbreads in this movie.

In the opening credits, there's a gingerbread house on the desk in the hall.

Before Jackie gets out of the hospital, Rob brings her a tin of "fresh-baked gingerbread."

FYI

IMO, it is called "TGM" because gingerbread is in the bible as a symbol of friendship and this echoes Rob and Jackie's friendship through the movie.

Whn Dad pulls the kids out of school there are bunches of cut out gingerbread men hanging from the ceiling in the hallway

Just after this scene at Robert Downey Jr.'s apartment there is a gingerbread man cookie cutter on the wall.

In the uncut version, I think, she tells Branaugh that her father used to scare her with the story.!

That is the uncut version? Good god, I thought that was a very important part, and it wasn't even in the first showing?

I can't believe that's the uncut version, either. I finally saw it today on television and the story was in it. It was a cross between the old "run, run as fast as you can; you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man" story and the Aesops (or other) fable about how people don't change their true nature. In this case after the gingerbread man runs off he comes to a river where he knows he will dissolve, but jumps on the back of a fox who carries him across to safety. Just before he jumps off the fox's back the fox whips his head around and ears him. Usually this story has a scorpion stinging a frog or something so given that it's poison the stung creature has time to ask why the other did it and the scorpion replies that it's just his nature. The moral to her father's story is simply that little children could disappear just as easily as the gingerbread man could. I suppose it's more likely you'd believe you'd be eaten by a fox in the dark woods at night in Georgia than be stung by a scorpion.

I did notice the gingerbread men drawings on the wall at the school when he went to take them out and they tried to stop him.

And didn't he live in the house referred to as The Gingerbread House across from the old public library in downtown Savannah? I started the movie late so I'm not sure, but I thought it was filmed there.

Please paint something cool today...Don't paint the sun anymore!
