Not That Great

I followed along for awhile in my prepubescent years the story of Gen13. Mostly for the obvious reasons, the chicks were hot. Anyway after years of just poking around I found a copy of the Gen 13 film which I bought and it wasn't as great as it should have been. Alicia Witt was the absolute worst choice for Kaitlan and E.G. Daily as the voice of Freefall. E.G. Friggen Daily is the voice of Tommy on Rugrats among a thousand other annoying little voices. Mark Hammil, well he needs to just let go. He was fortunate enough to land the Star Wars gigs back in his day but its over dude, give it up. Flea of course was a big mistake. As a matter of fact the whole movie should have been completely redone. I'd like to see a live action version of this film but the only problem is that no one could possibly fit the bill for 90% of these characters. I used to think Nikki Cox was would be a pretty good Kaitlan but then again probably not. Maybe Jessica Alba for Freefall. It would be to hard to get the job done. Just look what they did to poor old Tomb Raider. Next thing you know they'll have a Danger Girl film coming out starring the worst possible canidates. Please Hollywood leave the comic book business alone.

Come on man, you gotta give him some credit. He rocked as the voice of the Joker in the animated series and all those animated films.

The movie definatly could have used some better animation considering how good the comic book's art was. Where was Peter Chung or some of the rest of the animators assosiated with the animatrix when they were making this movie? You should watch Gregg Araki's Doom Generation. That should give you a better understanding about the Grunge and Freefall characters and why Grunges dialogue so Bill and Ted-ish(Dude, like, check it out. It, like, rocks). Grunge and Freefall are complete rip-offs of James Duval and Rose Mcgowen's characters in that movie.

I disagree the voice actress of Freefall did a fantastic job. She was the best thing in the movie. Elizabeth Daily really captured the character of Roxy very well. I can't say the same for the other cast members. I do agree that Flea was a terrible choice for Grunge. That goes double for Alicia Witt. Mark Hamill as Threshold was alright. My main gripe was the change in one of the character origins.
