It was just a prank bro

the man could have had a heart attack or gone insane when he shot his brother , lost his 600 million, jumped off a skyscraper, drowned in the river, the possibilities are endless

reply

He did jump, and if he didn't the phony doctor was supposed to throw him off.

reply

Of course it's all absurd, but for the suspension of disbelief somehow remains. This is due to having great directing, great writing, and great acting.

reply

I would consider it more of a wake-up than a "prank".

The guy was turning into a selfish all-about-me A hole, he needed this game.

reply

i think the movie makes sense if it was all a dream

reply

Perhaps. But if we're supposed to believe CRS' reputation, then none of their customers were ever left unsatisfied (Douglas' character was one of their many clients).

So by the looks of it, everything always went according to plan for the company with their clients being forever indebted for the extreme but eye-opening experience they were put through. The "it's just a movie" argument can be boring, but it certainly applies here. The viewer simply needs to go along with the ride and throw logic out the window.

With that said, do you want to play a Game? ;)
