Haneke's Success and THE GRINCH!!???

On the whole, I enjoyed the film yet I personally was gutted when Peter and Paul left the house after they'd killed the son. Even though we were reminded (by the villains themselves) we were supposed to be on the side of the family, the film seemed empty and slow when the two intruders had left. I believe this was exactly what Haneke wanted: yes, we were supposed to side with the family but, in order for us to enjoy the film, we needed that violence and general fear the intruders brought.

P.S is that a picture of the Grinch in the eye of the guy in the film poster!?

It thought it was a picture of the kid with the bag on his head, with a skull superimposed on it.
