Will there be a Free Willy 4

Kekio only played Willy in the first movie anyways. In Free Willy 2 and 3 the role was completely played by animatronics whales, excluding some scenes they filmed of wild Orcas. So if they did a 4th film Kekio having passed on wouldn’t affect it they’d probably even dedicated the movie to him.

Jesse’s age I don’t think would be issue either JJR will be 25 (hard to Believe) this coming Jan, So Jesse would be in his early 20’s. As long as they had a decent storyline I think it could be done, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for it. Would JJR even do it?, he isn’t acting anymore, the last movie he did was in 1998. He much prefers being in his band now, he says its not as hectic as being in the movies.

I remember back in 1995 when Free Willy 2 was released at that time. I remember they said they're going to do 3 and 4 but I think 4th one didn't get made because of how poor Free Willy 3 did at the box office in 1997 which was the year where Warner Bros made bad money at the box office in that year.

I'm up for anything for Free Willy 4 but I would like the idea of Jason James Richter come back and play the character as older like how he is right now and end the series in a right away. I would have liked the tear-jerker ending to wrap up the series.

"Several dead bodies are found in the waters where Willy and his family lives. The marks on the bodies is telling that they were killed by an orca. A group of whale-hunters is sent out to kill Willy's family, but Jesse and Randolph refuses to belive that the whales has anything to do with the bodies. They decide to hide the family and find out who the killer is..."

Sounds good, but it sounds a bit too much like the 1977 movie Orca, about a murderous killer whale. Plus, whale hunters were the bad guys in the third movie. Nothing outstanding, just stereotypical whale hunters, which make for stock villains.

For Free Willy 4, God willing they actually make one, I think it would have to be the ultimate closer to the series, in which...Willy dies.
This film could pretty much ignore Free Willy 3. Jesse, now a grown man, has started his own version of Save the Whales, called "Free the Whales". He's even written a book detailing the founding of "Free the Whales", when he freed Willy from that amusement park. Meanwhile Randolph's getting married. He retired to Costa Rica, met a woman who shares his passion of killer whales and their legendary origin, and it was a match made in sea heaven. While living down south of the border, Randolph happens to run into an old friend...you guessed it, Willy.
Something along those lines. It has a heart breaking climax when Willy becomes deceased due to natural causes, like Keiko. They cast his body out to sea, knowing that now, Willy was truly free...
