Free Willy Four- A New spin off in the works

I am very sorry to report everyone....while it won't be a true free willy film, a spin off is in the works.
Bindi Irwin...urgh, daughter of Steve Irwin, is set to star this year in a spin off version.
The information I have so far, is she will be playing Kirra, a girl whos world is torn apart by the sudden death of her 'animal loving' vetinarian father.
The director of the new film, Will Geiger says 'The stoy centers on Kirra's sadnness until a baby orca befreinds her, and they begin a new life'
Filming for the hush-hush mega budget film began of Feb 22
The centeral plot of the Warner-financed movie centers on a young girl, who after loosing her dad, is forced to live with her estranged grandfather. She meets a Killer whale, who has trouble using sonar, and wants to set it free from a theme park so it can join it's family in the wild.
It's a subject very close to Bindi's heart...as we all know...Steve died not that long ago.

While I am personally looking forward to another Orca centered film...the precence of Bindi makes me shudder. As an Aussie, I am sick of seeing her EVERYWHERE. I was moved to tears as she made that speech at her fathers funeral...but now, they are exploiting her for all she is worth.
She is happy now, on will wonder how long it'll last.
Whats your opion...????

why are they making the 4th movie? that is so rediculous. unless they get jason james richter to come back thats different. but i just don't get the whole idea of why they would think about making the 4th movie.

It's all about money I guess....Use the famous Free Willy title, with famous Bindi Irwin....

Even if they did another Free Willy movie, how would the producers convince James Jason Ritcher to return as Jessie. I would have imagined that the 4th film would have had a much older Jessie who is now in his 30s and is a whale Botantist. An interesting Storyline for the 4th film would be is when the Whales end losing their home in a hurricane which forces Willy and his family to relocate.

Seeing bindi in a movie would be really awesome. I think it's cool she is following in her great fathers footsteps :)

I know what you mean about Bindi being exploited and as much as I loved Free Willy (God! I still hate that choice for the name of the whale), I really wished they didn't make this movie.
