A goof I've found

Listen to a goof I've found:
In the basketball game- the winning basket (when the player went through the hoop)- it was supposed to be a 3-point shooting, because when he jumped, his legs were outside the arc, but they added only 2 points to the score (from 67 to 69).

I'm watching this movie right now with my younger brother and when I read that I thought I'd watch for it in the movie. I don't think it was a goof. If a player jumps from outside the 3 point line but lands inside the 3 point line, the shot is only worth 2 points. The ball has to be released and the player has to remain outside the 3 point line for it to count. Basically, he did one hell of a dunk. It was only worth 2 points. It should have been worth a lot more though! Oh and elmo, if you can't say something nice... get over it. If you thought the potential goof was lame, ignore it! There's no need to be rude!

your right i am sorry

the real goof is the voice over at the end of the film.

reply

Oh no....

Am 99.99% sure that the footing on any shot matters only to the point the ball is released or the last footing BEFORE the release of the ball.

There are many instances of people who release a ball and land a foot or two out of bounds, by your rules those shots would be invalid.

Have not see this particular 'error' in the movie as of yet, but am very sure of the footing rules with basketball.

If you are in the air when shooting a ball, where your feet left the ground are what matters, not where they land.

Now, if this was NFL, they have fubared those rules up about a reception and such to were the footing is all messed up anymore.

What the hell??? Are you elmo's mommy? You two sure acted like it. Elmo should have told you where you can stick your comments. I'll say whatever the hell I want whenever I want, and no self-righteous commie like you is gonna tell me what to do. You need to mind your own business and stop trying to rule the world, god-wannabe.

What about the wedding times? I thought the wedding was at 6:30 pm on Friday initially. He missed that obviously because he was working on Flubber. Then he remembers and it's 6:30 pm on Saturday, but Weebo says that his wedding was at 6:30 AM on Saturday, which makes no sense considering his ex-fiance said she waited all night for him.

Am I missing something?

reply

Weebo was saying now currently it is six thrifty am Sat, which means he worked through the whole night
