THIS NEEDS HD BLU-RAY

WE WANT FIRE DOWN BELOW ON BLU_RAY.

I'm completely happy with my DVD.

Pretty sure this was a BS double-sided DVD. I absolutely hate those. It most definitely needs a blu-ray release.

WTF

Got it on DVD but would love to get it on Bluray.

I'm trying to phase out my DVD collection and get all Bluray and this would perfect to add to my blurays.

Oh get out of here Sony shill. Blu-ray died already. 9 years and DVD still outsells Blu-ray 3:1, it's a niche format that's dying rapidly with the rise of Streaming services.

DVD+ dedicated DVD HDMI Upscaler = Perfectly fine.

Love your sarcasm about the HDMI upscaler. You must have a very small tv screen if you think dvd upscale is 'perfectly fine'.

I have a Bluray home entertainment center that has an Upscaler. Sometimes I mistakenly grab the DVD version of a Bluray/DVD combo and as soon as it pops up the previews I'm clawing my eyes out and hitting the eject button because it's so blatantly obvious.

While DVDs may be outselling Blurays, there are multiple factors to this issue.

1) DVDs are cheaper to buy, especially since DVDs are much cheaper to manufacture compared to Blurays, hence why they have to be sold at a slightly higher price.

2) A ridiculously high number of people still only have a DVD player, so they can't buy Bluray, and more than likely, quite a few of them probably haven't even seen how high quality a Bluray movie is.

3) To be honest, some probably just don't care about quality and just have no desire. But me personally, I'm not gonna invest $500 in a modest 40" High Definition tv to watch Standard Definition movies.

4) Many lower income people who do buy movies, can't afford to make the investment upgrading their equipment because a good Bluray player can still run you 3-4 times as much as the cheapest DVD player, so they stick with DVDs.

FYI: Bluray sales continue to go up while DVD sales are declining.

Until Streaming providers start uploading a larger catalog of new releases, and ISPs up their game in upgrading their infrastructure to provide much more affordable and reliable internet that can stream services to hundreds of millions of people, then Streaming won't be a viable option for decades.

And another issue with Streaming services is their contracts. There is a constant coming and going of movies and shows as new contracts are signed and old ones expire. So when a video disappears off Netflix, it's gone until a new contract is signed. Unlike my high quality Blurays, which I can watch at any time, any where, with absolutely no internet services required.

With 4K getting bigger each year, Idk if we'll ever get the blu ray release. It's on vudu for 9.99, im guessing a streamed digital version will probably be the best version of the film we'll ever get~
