Does anyone know if this will be showing on American television any time soon? I am a huge fan of the book, and have learned from a friend that it is much more faithful to it than the new one. Also, it has Colin Firth. That's pretty much enough for me.

Doubtful that it will be showing up any time soon on TV here. The DVD is pretty cheap though. I think I paid $10 or $12 on Deep Discount DVD.
