Old post, but yea, that was hilarious, and I almost didn't recognize him either. The Singing Detective is even more-so.

I recognized him! That voice is unmistakable. It was one of the best cameos ever. It did what cameos are supposed to do -- first your jaw drops because you can't believe it's really them, then they deliver a line like they're running a clinic.

Mel Gibson is a cruddy human being, but that man can give a performance! Biggest laugh of the movie! Okay, he sold me -- and I never thought I'd say that!
