In the end, the narrator talks about how he was beaten, outsmarted, poisoned by John Hobbes. But from the start til the last 15 minutes, I know that John Hobbes is the one narrating, I feel like I got tricked but at the same time I thought it's clever and kind of a twist. Just to repeat the question, Is the narrator John Hobbes or Azazel? Thanks. Love the movie and the director btw.

It's Azazel referring at times to the perspective of Hobbes. He's been inside him, so he knows everything about his viewpoint, so he's telling the story post Hobbes dying and providing some color commentary along the way.

A 'spoiler' alert would've been a good idea. Still, a terrific movie with an even better ending that I didn't see happening.
