Worst Actress I've ever seen
I'm surprised at the number of fans of this movie that have written in. I caught the last 30 minutes of it on cable and was initially very curious to see more of Amanda deCadenet since I only saw a brief amount of her acting in Four Rooms. Her poor acting skills verge on camp, particularly her "shh" gesture at the end of the film and her rants about how she "doesn't like being lied to". She is truly an awful actress and I really don't understand how anyone took her seriously in this film - particularly "the most beautiful women in the world" (she is pretty, but in a cheap and contrived way). Actually, her poor acting led me to tune out the final monologue although haven't read through some of the transcriptions here, it apparently was not that bad.
How could anyone love this movie when the lead actress is so trite and unbelievable in her role? I'm not trying to be antagonistic, but really looking for an answer.
