Archer should've been arrested for murder

For some insanely bizarre reason, he helped a criminal try to escape prison. That criminal killed several guards as a result. That clearly makes Archer guilty of murder, or at least manslaughter.

He also shot several guards and cops himself. I'm not sure if he actually killed any of them, but that should at least be attempted murder.

You're an idiot

Care to elaborate?

reply

Considering the circumstances I’m sure they would have let it go. Archer never killed anyone except for Castor, Pollux and those two bodyguards. It was Dubov who was killing people

reply

Also watch the scene again, Archer didn't break Dubov out or remove his restraints, Dubov just got up and started going nuts, Archer just took advantage of the situation. He even stopped Dubov from killing 2 guards.

reply

The film goes through great lengths (despite some plot holes) that Archer (as Castor) tries NOT to shoot any police or agents. As far as what happened in the prison, one could argue that since the "Geneva Convention doesn't exist" or whatever, then some anarchist plotpoints are acceptable.

reply

I'm guessing the entire prison was illegal since the prisoner's were denied their constitutional rights (like right to a fair trial) so if the media found out that Archer started a riot in an illegal prison he would have probably been considered a hero.

reply

That's a valid point.

You're actually trying to extract some logic from this Stoopid POS??

🤣

reply

I know I responded to this about a year ago, however, something else I thought about with regards to the guards that Archer would have wounded (even killed accidentally). There was something bigger at play and that was the bomb at the L.A. Convention Center that would have killed nearly a million people. I am not saying that one/two lives should supersede that... BUT... perhaps Archer thought it was a worthy sacrifice?

reply

Nope, Castor had already diffused the bomb by then, and shared his ‘message’ on TV which Archer saw in prison.

reply

Yep - you're right, Drooch. The prison break was after the, "interception... now our side has the ball. Sorry"...

Funny that Archer says that looking like he is imitating Jim Carrey.

reply

Yeah I’ve always thought it was weird how Travolta went Jim Carrey there instead of Cage 🤷🏻‍♂️

reply

Well his “impression” of Jim Carrey was better than anything Jim Carrey was doing at the time.
