Does anyone know hows song it is that plays near the end of the film (I wish you would leave me)

reply

The song is "on and on" by the longpigs, I know as I was listening to the album just before I saw the film! the album is called "the sun is often out"

Its a top song that by the Longpigs who as far as I know have split up now. They did "On and On" "She Said" and a few other notable songs. The albums worth having for "On and On" and the brilliant "One Dozen Wicked Words"

I will also add that I saw the Longpigs in support of U2 at Wembley in 1998, they were very good.

The soundtrack to this film contains some brilliant songs.. the longpigs and the clash are 2 of the best....

Let us not ignore Gene "London can You Wait"

I need the soundtrack to this film!!!!! Watched it a million times (almost anyway) I just love it and managed to trace a DVD copy on t'internet so I need the soundtrack to make this complete. Any ideas as to where I can get it, anybody?

"on and on" by the Longpigs. the greatest band ever to come out of Sheffield and possibly the UK since the beatles.

In my opinion the soundtrack was the weakest link in this movie. Some of it was downright winceable. Very chick-flicky, not suited to the film at all.

Completely agree with the last poster. Really inappropriate music in some scenes.

Yes, sometimes it matched the mood. Other times (like when 2 guys were approaching the house from back entrance), music made it all feel like a
BBC Mystery production. Of course much of film's framing and staging had
a BBC like quality to production values. Acting performances and story
flow did help pump it up a bit higher than average.
Wonder how much it influenced the terrific 2008 film In Bruges? Music wasn't
a big element in that one but tone of both films has similar nature the
way they unwind among the characters. Sharp, direct and fill their time post
crime with combo of wit and pathos.
Sure not the way I'd want to live. Only thing an artist has over this
lifestyle is the artist can observe them and use what is learned. An artist
has the luxury to rework initial outcome if wants to. These guys are stuck
dealing what what they've "created". Pretty banal.
Does make for entertainment tho, like a sporting match. Had to make painting
drying very exciting in this way. Engaging maybe but not edgy. This one does
catch the edgy.
