Didn't by the So called unhappiness

Didn't by the So called unhappiness for life in marriage because she married someone else. Why must filmmakers and writers always try to project feelings that one can't change or learn to adapt. I did not bye for a second that she did not have a happy life by staying the course she chose. It was Onegin who blew it. So she still loved him, but that does not mean she will not learn to love what she has.

I think you have already mentioned the point. They had both moved on in the intervening years but seeing each other again brought it all back. She probably was fine with her life until he came back, but now that he has stirred it all up again things could be different from then on.
