I have somehow managed to miss this gem. It sounds pretty awful. What bothers me more than anything, besides knowing it was Varney's final appearance as the lovable Mr. Worrell, is that the cover headshot of Varney as Ernest appears to be a "lift" from a previous Ernest flick's cover art. I understand this was a no-budget effort, but how cheap can you get?
shareJust bought this movie yesterday in a box set with some TV specials, commercials, and 'Ernest in the Army. If you are a fan of the older movies like Ernest Goes to Camp, Ernest Goes to Jail, and Ernest Saves Christmas, then you're probably not gonna like this one. It does look VERY cheap. Not as near as funny as the older ones. And the girl in this movie, she is just so annoying. She is ugly and like a supernerd. I don't know what it is, but this is probably my least favorite Ernest movie I've seen. Oh yeah, this wasn't his final appearance. It was actually 'Ernest in the Army' a year later.
