*Spoiler* The Receipt

When given the knife it is made clear it was a present from Bob. I'm confused why the receipt from the gift his wife gave Bob was also in the knife box. Did she buy the knife as a vicarious gift via Bob that would hopefully improve relations between her husband and lover?? Thats really odd if so.

I can't understand this, but I am probably missing something obvious.

She was buying a gift for her husband and probably decided to do the same for her lover while she was there. Seeing she a women she didn't notice that the clerk put the receipt in the box. I'm sure she had no intention on her husband knowing that she had a lover. Why would she risk her connection to a billionaire?

Wow. You completely missed the point. I think you need to reread my OP and try again. That was not what I asked in anyway.

No I think the person Who replied is correct. All three items were purchased at the same place. I don't think the clerk did it for any malicious reasons and really I don't know if it's that important it just confirmed Charles suspicions anyway

I know what you mean. I wondered the same thing.

Clearly the receipt being in the certificate was a mistake. And I get that the wife bought both watches.

But, in the movie Bob gives the husband the knife as a gift from him. But, it's obvious by the receipt that she also bought it at the same time she bought the watches for both men.

I agree with your question, why did she buy the knife and give to Bob to give to her husband?
