shareNo, it's such bad quality you can't tell and even if it was they could easily edit it out... it was shelved because apparently it was a "student film" and leo and toby did it as a favor to help their friend...until they tried to release it as a feature and it's low budget and although Leo's acting is actually pretty good, there's couple small part bad actors..maybe Leo and Toby didn't want to tarnish their career with this more less independant movie, when theyre making high budget $250,000 movies now a days

shareRegardless of what you think his "bias" might me, his perspective on the events is as valid as anyone's, maybe more so given DiCaprio's and McGuire's effective banning of this artists work. It's amazing to me that in *beep* like this happens today. Pretty draconian stuff.

There were four people involved in the controversy. Leo, RD, Tobey and me. I used Tobey's words as he spoke them in his deposition, Leo's remarks to the press (which snowballed into a PR smear campaign again the film and it's director), and, of course I gave my account of all the events that lead to Don's Plum being suppressed in the US and Canada.

Yes, the letter is long - the whole story is much longer. Sadly, I can only guess as to why Leo and Tobey set out to destroy Don's Plum. Of course I was involved, but the reasons that we turned a short film into a feature film or that we were going to pit the press against Leo don't add up, so there must be a different reason. Here's what I know, I know that there was only one person in all of Don's Plum, cast and crew, that wanted Don's Plum to "burn" and that was Tobey Maguire. I believe that Tobey thought he was out shined in Don's Plum by Kevin Connolly in particular, and I think that Tobey didn't want to see Kevin or RD Robb (or me for that matter) succeed ahead of him. That may seem outlandish but let me tell you that Hollywood is a viciously competitive business. Kevin Connolly didn't hit until 2004. That's nine years after we filmed Don's Plum. Tobey's star was rising just as we finished editing Don's Plum. If the attention shifted from Tobey to Kevin and/or RD it could have threatened Tobey's career trajectory. So he made up a bunch of lies, got Leo extremely upset and that led to Leo making a terrible mistake. That's my take on it. Maybe someday Tobey will speak about it and we can hear his side. I'm dying to know!

This isn't available because the film probably depicts behavior a little too close to Leo and the "Puss_y Posse" member's real life behavior.
They were all pretty sociopathic from back in the day. DiCaprio's done a good job suppressing that part of his life, and he has grown up quite a bit. People forget that he was a bit bieber-esque back in his day.
