Let's Talk About ABC / FX

Anyone that's seen the movie on ABC or FX knows that are there some scenes they show that weren't on the theater version of the movie, or the DVD. A couple of questions:

1. Who is the guy playing Oscar the trainer? In the original version, you only see him, he never speaks. On ABC / FX, Dr. Dolittle has a few confrontations with him and he speaks some sort of heavily accented English.

2. On the ABC / FX version, it's insinuated at least a couple of times that Dolittle is having an affair. I guess they thought these scenes weren't working and cut them? Seems kind of tasteless to put them back.

3. Why is none of this stuff on the DVD?

2. I don't think it was "insinuated", meaning that we were supposed to believe he was actually having an affair. It was just meant to show what the other characters believed Dr. Dolittle was doing; as a reaction to how "weird" he was acting.
