What about Tigger dumba$$?

When Dolittle is trying to think of famous tigers, and can't think of a single one, was anyone else immediately wondering how he managed to miss Tigger from Winnie the Pooh?

Tigger's not a tiger, he's a... tigger.

Seriously, though, I was thinking Hobbes of "Calvin and..." myself.

NO!!!! Tigger is a tiger!!! DUH!!! Didn't you know that???

I also wondered why he didn't think of Tigger myself!

Tiger's tops are not made out of rubber, nor are their bottoms made out of springs. Tiggers are their own thing, similar to tigers, but bouncier.

tigers dont bounce...... tigger does :D

Yeah I'm gonna have to weigh in on the side of tiggers not being tigers. Theres a rhyme and everything. "The wonderful thing about tiggers is tiggers are wonderful things, their tops are made of rubber their bottoms are made of springs, they're bouncy bouncy bouncy, they're fun fun fun, but the most wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one." You cannot say the same thing about tigers. They're cool, but nowhere near the wonderfulness of tiggers. Just sayin'.

Okay then..what about Tony the Tiger? (the Kellogg's mascot)

You know it makes sense.

reply

To quote Lucky: "What about Tony?" Followed by Doolittle's "Tony the cereal tiger?" Followed by lucky's "I didn't hear you give any suggestions." They totally covered Tony the Tiger. And as a point of pedantic interest, he is the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes mascot, not the Kellogg's mascot.

reply

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes is not universally known as Frosted Flakes. The movie cleverly instead refers to him as 'Tony the cereal tiger'.
